I picture a spoiled, rich girl, superficially well-mannered but defiant in a sneaky way, about nine years old. Her parents could afford to send her to private school and they never stop complaining about the public school, but they send her there anyway because they can easily push the teachers and administrators around. She's not noticeably brighter than the other kids, but they think if she's in a low-performing school she'll stand out as a shining star.
