That's a good one. :)

Marius looked at the little white stick, his eyes widening with disbelief. There was no denying it- he was pregnant. With child. An expectant vampire.
He had heard of this sort of thing happening before. His mentor, Claudio, had told him it was entirely possible for male vampires to get pregnant, though it was extremely rare.
"It happens out of love," Claudio had said. "all it takes is one time, Marius. If you devour a girl who truly loves you with all her heart and soul, you can birth another vampire...yes, even if you are a man. This is why it is so important to wear protection at all times."
Protection. He had forgotten it the night he killed Olivia. His pair of sharpened fake teeth had been lying on top of his dresser at home when he had bit into her neck, drained the life from her. Stupid, stupid Marius.
Well, there was no way out of it. He had devoured a girl who loved him without a barrier, and now he was paying the price. Had he loved her? He supposed he must have on some level, but Olivia wasn't his true love, of that he was sure. It could only be Eva. Eva, who would tear him limb from limb if she ever found out about this. The birthing would have take place on the down-low.
A C-section would be needed, of course, but he couldn't go to a hospital. Only a vampire's fangs could cut through the umbilical cord. It was time to find Claudio again.
Claudio was over 300 years old traveled the world, "collecting" younger vampires and schooling them in feeding, mind-reading, and the like. Everything a good vampire should know, but never had a teacher for. Claudio felt that was horribly unfair, and took it upon himself to instruct every vampire he met on how to live their lives undetected. Marius had been very fond of him, and missed him when he left; Claudio was like the father he never had. He was last seen in California, hiding somewhere in the redwoods. Marius packed his bags and boarded a plane headed for Northern California, desperate to find his mentor, the only person who could advise him on what to do next. Claudio would be furious, no doubt- after all, Marius was not betrothed to anyone, and got himself in a bit of trouble- but after the anger faded, he would do whatever it took to help his young friend. He would have to.
