Actually, the speech was supposed to be big and overwrought. I've just noticed that a lot of stories recently are about people dying of cancer and go on and on about how brave these people are. I'll admit it... I'm kind of trying to make fun of them.
I do see what you mean about the relationship thing, though. I shall have to work on that.
