Hi, I read this board for a while, but I'm posting for the first time to try to present a real piece of work. My shyness is due to a lack of mastery in English - my native language is Portuguese, in which I write a lot, both prose and poetry. But I'm willing to try in order to improve my language abilities (you can correct me as many as you wish).

This characters are from a sci-fi story I'm working in now. The story universe is being developed for about 20 years now, but most of these are brand new characters created for this narrative.

Kalu Tzepan'it - 64, Sheitzi (warrior, chaotic, unruly yet honorable people from the Cold Planets area), he's a weapon seller whose daugther was a Daksi (a rebel) and was killed in an ambush - what is considered dishonored by Sheitzis. He now pronouced himself and his powerful clan Tzepan'it as Daksi and conclaimed people reunited at the Avenger Terl festival on Narad Valley to help bring the responsible to be judged under Sheitzi law.

Seike Tzepan'it - 42, Sheitzi, Kalu's eldest son, he's fated to succeed his father. He's kind of shy for a Sheitzi, and he's no fighter, but took himself the honor to revenge his sister by leading the group reunited on Narad Valley.

Valea Naradit - 63, representative leader of Sheitzi people (think of her as a president in the European Council), head of the renowned Naradit clan, old rival of Tzepan'it clan, she was so horrified by the ambush who kill Kalu's daughter that signed with him a treaty ending the "honored enmity" and offering help in his revenge. She allowed him to use the Narad Valley festival to reunite a group. She's a sarcastic, humorous, tiny ex-criminal, ex-acrobat and ex-derrok champion (derrok is a Sheitzi martial art) covered with hedious scars and with a strong yet twisted sense of honor.

Dau Bagheder - 22, Sheitzi, professional derrok fighter and also a terrific space pilot. He's strong and quiet, speaks the minimum, but always gets himself in a mess for speaking what he shouldn't. He looks even dumb, but he's actually very clever. He was named after the great derrok champion Dau Tzepan'it, Kalu's brother. He's always with Maira and everyone believe they're mates or lovers, but they're actually siblings.

Maira Bagheder - 19, Sheitzi, professional derrok fighter. She's rather small even for a Sheitzi but she's a better fighter than Dau. Because of this she silently admires the even smaller Valea, while his clan Bagheder is close to Tzepan'it clan. She's a fast-talking troublemaker who loves to embarrass Dau and everyone else.

Ninia Lejadit - 20, Sheitzi, an entertainer from a minor nomadic clan who sees Kalu's revenge as the oportunity to prove her and her clan's valour. She has no ties to any other group member, but quickly becomes group's support on the disagreements.

Dunal Ti'er - 25, Terlize (religious, justice defender people known for huge families and broad use of magic), he was a simple elementary school teacher, forth son of the head of Terlize diplomacy, when he decided to join Daksi rebellion. Now he's a weapon expert, sent to Narad at the first notice of Kalu's revenge to join the group and try to recruit them all. He's good looking, intellectual, and doesn't look like a warrior.

Kay'er Palaki-Tair - 19, Heakla (pacifist, artistic people with golden hair and an stunning beauty), he's most known as the partner of Sukak singer Nalk al-Bakfai, his wife and a Daksi leader. Also, his father is the renowned Mishe Palaki-Thara, representative leader of Heakla people and one of the most handsome men in the entire galaxy. He's a poet and lyric writer with a lot of wits and no physical strenght, who hates to be compared to his father. He never entered Daksi rebellion till this moment, when he appears at Narad, volunteers to the group and wears Daksi black clothes, much for Nalk's displeasure.

Sorry for my poor English.
