Hello. I was wondering if anyone would help me create an effective hook. (:
The story in general is about a girl who trained rigorously her entire life to fulfill a prophecy, only to find that the prophecy wasn't about her.
The first few paragraphs are her talking to her trainer, who was pretty much her father, as the prophecy is about to unfold. They're talking about if she's ready, and she's offered a chance to go see her real family.
The thing is that she hardly knows her family, and considers family a distraction, because she grew up being told that.
