I decided to keep going on Alexander and Michael.
I walk into the playroom just as it happens. I see a broken line of cars, and my boys struggling over one.
I grab the car and give to Alexander, who fixes his line.
“I was using it!” Michael urges.
“We can’t mess up his lines…”
He knows I won’t let him have it and he decides on another form of retribution, screaming. Alexander covers his ears and starts crying.
