I'm starting to write a story about a girl who lives in the United States, but dreams of living in England, and then moves to London. For awhile she was named Katherine Foster (first and last name), and she was either going to go by Kate or Kit. But I don't like it anymore. I decided to go for something that would have meaning. So, I've come up with:
Beatrix means "voyager, traveler" and Moriarty means "expert navigator". Beatrix is for sure going to be her first name, as I think it fits perfectly. But is Moriarty too Sherlock Holmes? Are there any other surnames you can think that would fit?
