Welcome to the first round of Etoile's Game Week*! To start off, we will be playing that Writing Room classic, the Party Game. How does it work, you ask? Well, you see, one of your characters recently received a mysterious invitation to a party, and even though the party is taking place in a ballroom in a place that may not actually exist, your character has just arrived and is ready to start mingling with the other attendees.
You start by writing a brief piece showing your character at the party, not talking to anyone else yet. When other characters have been introduced, have your character go up to them and strike up a conversation (assuming they have not already approached your character). After that, just continue the conversation until it runs out of steam and/or you come to the agreement to end it.
(PS -- although I said "one of your characters" you are allowed to use more than one, as long as they are introduced in the same piece and still talk to the other characters more than they talk to one another; if you really, truly want to use more than one character, I personally recommend limiting yourself to two)
*Despite the name, it will actually last more than a week
