Spencer smiled slightly. "Quite a peculiar gathering indeed." His voice was rather quiet, but had considerable presence; his was the voice of a man who expected people to listen to him. When speaking to his man, he noticed that he had adopted the anglicized American accent that he used after spending time with his relatives from England, the Rs dropped slightly and the rhythm of his voice altered just a little.

He took in the appearance of the man, and smiled a little more. Although several other guests seemed to have come out of other eras, something about this man made him think that he had not, despite his old-fashioned dress, and Spencer felt a strange sort of kinship with that eccentricity. He held out his hand. "Please, let me introduce myself. I'm Spencer Montgomery."
