Spencer was rather impressed with the way that Auden shook his hand. As he watched her speak and move, he could tell that something was making her uncomfortable, so he was hardly surprised when the boy spoke. He turned to look at him, and softly said, "I'm sorry to hear that." He was curious, of course, but did not know how much they would be willing to share.
