"It's okay," replied Ira rather awkwardly, avoiding Spencer's gaze. He half expected Auden to storm off or, at the very least, make some sort of cutting remark, but she only said, somewhat bitterly:
"Yeah, well, we've had a lot of 'I'm sorrys' from people. It's like they think he's dead or something." Which some of them, she reminded herself, probably did.
