"Well," Charlotte said with a stern expression on her face, "because there aren't any lions living in our garden. And lions don't climb on trees, and Ben and I really like climbing trees, so being a squirrel is much more fun than being a lion."
Dylan let the two younger girls have their conversation about the advantages and disadvantages of pretending to be different animals and turned to Auden, who had been quieter than her younger siblings.
"So, what do you like to read, then? Read anything good lately?", he asked her with genuine interest.
