Using the same general info I've been using for the last few surveys. My story is set in the fantasy world of Ondore, a nation made up of various countries united under one High King, where magic is a natural ability some people are born with. But it is feared by both the general public and the church. Mages trend to be severely prejudiced against and after a war many decades ago, they have received some form of equality and live in relative peace in their own territory called the Tower (though not all mages live there). Some general info about the world: men and women are equal in status, sexuality is generally irrelevant except for special cases and magic over time 'corrupts' the body of the mage resulting in various types of physical deformities. There are also no elves or giants or other mythical creatures within the story, just humans.
Aurelia Cervarro Sadine: An ambassador to the High King, she is the daughter of the King of a major country. After her mother died, her father suspected magic was involved and Aurelia and two of her sisters left their royal lives. She worked as a prostitute for a time before coming to the Tower. There she discovered her abilities lie in shape-shifting. She eventually married Saul and they ow have two children. She is intelligent and was raised to be charming but has a tendency to be awkward and impolite.
Saul Sadine: The son of two mages he grew up as a typical fisherman until his parents sent him of to work with pirates. After two years with them he joined the Tower and there he became something of a playboy. He'll charm anyone into his bed, is somewhat pansexual and can make an inappropriate innuendo out of anything. This side of him eventually settled, but didn't disappear and he married Aurelia.
Logan: From a northern country that generally despises magic he ran away from his home at a young age. Eventually coming to the Tower he found himself at home and met his best friend, Saul. Logan is calm, level-headed and somewhat soft spoken. He and Saul complement each other and the two used to get into trouble together in their younger years.
Baal: Hailing from the same country as Saul the two are close. Baal is understanding, nurturing, universally accepting and fiercely loyal and protecting. He has lived a somewhat average life but that's how he prefers it. Baal would be completely happy if nothing overly interesting happened to him for the rest of his life. He and Silas have one adopted daughter together.
Silas: Baal's lover and Aurelia's best friend. Silas's mother is one of the founders of the Tower. He lived a life of adventure before eventually coming back to the Tower to take care of his child. He has always been mature but that never stopped him from getting into debaucheristic fun with the rest of the gang.
Deirick: An immensely large and strong man Deirick is the life of the party. He drinks and fights too often but fun is never far behind when he's around. He has a tendency to drink too much and go overboard though.
Some side characters:
Ovid: Founder of the Tower he is stern and unforgiving. In his later years, his mind has been slipping. He is generally accepted as the single most powerful mage around.
Emansh: Second in command, his job is more a title than anything and he spends his days making jokes and drinking. A kind man but not one suited for a job of power.
Helea: Third in command she is harsh and the dealer of punishments and jobs. She runs everything with military precision and doesn't tolerate mistakes.
Elendra: Fourth in Command she is charming, beautiful and seductive. She takes a lighter stance on things than Elandra, making making young mages prefer her. But, she is a force to be reckoned with and didn't get to be fourth in command out of thousands by being nice.
There's more characters but this is good, don't want too add too many.
