They respond with (un?)surprising good humour. At least, Vincente is quicker to laugh about it; Art may be perturbed quite a bit longer, and his friend's laughing does not help at all. Vincente then soliloquises that "even Mycroft must be wrong sometimes" before he eventually does his usual routine of "well, if this were a story" and slowly manages to drag Art along to that old game as well (they do that a lot, Vincente being Genre Savvy and Art an English teacher). Topher, of course, is the most embarrassed and disturbed about the recent turn of events.
