If I might make a suggestion... If you're going to have her called alternately by her first and last names, you might want to make the last name decidedly a last name. For example, if you did go with Riley, people might get confused because that's also used as a first name and think that there are two seperate characters, a Sam and a Riley. Does that make any sense at all? I feel as if it doesn't.
