Hiya folks,
I'm writing fantasy YA, and in my head my main character is 14.
However, this character will be involved in some (implied, not described) consensual sexual activity, in the first instance with someone considerably older than herself.
My question is: should I up her age to 16, which is the age of consent in the majority of places? My gut instinct is that I should, but I wanted to get a sounding from others. Should I make her older? Or am I being over-sensitive?
