Okay, so for some reason, I am in the mood to write a horror-ish story. The other day, I was trying to think of ideas for one, and I got this idea: The main character is a girl, and she had a sister who was kidnapped years ago and has been missing for a long time and the girl keeps having dreams where she is walking in the woods or something with someone and she doesn't know what they mean, but she then realizes it's the ghost of her sister using her dreams to try and show her where her remains are. But then I got to thinking that this plot sounds kind of familiar. Almost as if it's been used in another story or something.
Does this plot sound familiar to any of you? Have you ever read a story with this plot before or a story that sounds similar? If so please let me know before I begin writing.
