Yeah, I seen the endless pages of ethnic names, however, I was searching for suggestions based on how the name looks and sounds. For instance, I decided on Mathias for the protagonists name. His family all have names with Greek origins despite the inspiration for his society coming from Ireland. I like how it's easy to pronounce and has a noble righteous feel to it. I like the suggestion of Umut, and I think it'd actually be rather clever to give the main bad guy a name that means hope.

I like the idea of naming characters through the eyes of their parents. No parent would want to call their child something that had bad connotations so I tend to avoid those sorts of names. I'm not usually a fantasy reader myself but it seemed like a fun genre to tackle.
