I didn't even know about that, I've never come across The Golden Compass, maybe I'll change it to Vega instead... Yeah I noticed that, I'm trying to avoid super obvious ones like Draco, Sirius... but there are only so many that I think work as names, especially for males... I mean, I doubt it will ever be published, so there is not huge worry. I mean, its about aliens, rather than magic, so... I dunno, heaps of work aha!
