"Can it be I fear to die?" - Now, wherever have I heard that before, I wonder?...

But, that passage about Sadie becoming someone Iliana could lean on? Sadie sounds very like a certain revolutionary's constant companion, who signs his name: R. Maybe this is partially why "Insurgents" is becoming more and more obscure in my mind - because I seem to have less idea about Sadie, now; your version of her seems to have become 'canon' in my mind, and she's considerably less familiar to me than my own version of her...does that make any sense...?

Anyway, this was brilliantly written, as always. I had yet another moment of expressing my hatred of Madame, and my wish to Bahorel her. Seriously. Needs to happen. Madame, Madame, there's no end to your depravity...

I am surprisingly (or, not so surprisingly, really) overwhelmed by this. Off I go to mope over the inevitable demise of our Iliana...
