"Oh, well, um, it wasn't really my idea," Martin said, then laughed slightly. "Oh God, I bet that's not something you really like to hear. But I graduated from law school a little over six months ago and I've been working in a firm since then, and my, uh, my boyfriend thought I seemed really stressed out, I guess. He kept trying to get me to see someone for ages, but I just..." He shrugged. "Anyway, I came home one night last week and kind of... I don't want to say I broke down, because I didn't, but I came pretty close to it. So, uh, yeah." He brought his hand up to the back of his neck again. "We set up the appointment after that."
