Two minutes later a small-framed woman with black hair and a charming smile entered the room with, "I'm doctor D. M. Soto." Charles had informed her of Mr. Ovid's behavior from yesterday. It made her smile. People loved to believe that everyone was always out to get them, to trick them, people in power especially. She sat down in her plush chair before continuing to speak.
"I understand you have a hard time giving up control after spending a life time of trying to take it. Let's be clear here. I am not the one infringing on your time. You are the one who now has to add one more session to your mandated 7. I am not the person who mandated these sessions. Your anger and resentment of me is not appreciated, misplaced, and if it continues, I will walk out of this room and we can add another makeup session to your list.
She paused to give a polite smile. "I will be as honest with you as you are with me. Now," she shifted in her seat to find the most comfortable position, "tell me why you are required to be here."
