Thanks! The idea came from schools where I live in Switzerland that have evening classes for parents (hence "the parents' school") including French language classes for the many immigrant parents. So the novel would focus on the shifting POV of parents with different backgrounds and families. Vera's family is from Kosovo, her rich businessman husband is somewhat absent and her eldest daughter, Dardana, is headstrong and problematic.

I haven't really gotten very far in terms of plot and I might not be able to do NaNo anyway, because I was hoping for once I'd have a fairly quiet November but then some stuff came up.
