I prefer to write in first person generally, because I'm the best at dialogue and first person is kind of like the story is all dialogue. I don't have a preference when it comes to reading so long as it's well-written.

The only thing about third-person that's easier is that you don't have to worry about the internal voices of different characters sounding the same, which really is a minor concern.
