Ok.
Mary went to the door uneasily, thinking that surely someone was at this place out in the sticks. She was to the door when she heard a sound and turned but there was nothing there. She hesitated for a second , wondering, but then turned toward the door and using the knocker knocked, bringing a deep sound through the door to where she stood.
