"Well, I got a little distracted by the rain," he absentmindedly waved his hand at a puddle and pulled it off the floor so that the water hovered near his face, "Water's kinda my thing. Anyway," he sighed, swirling it in the air, "by the time I realized I'd wandered off, I had no idea where I was, and then I saw a castle... and that's where you came in." He paused for a moment and the tunnel seemed to grow colder, "So... monster, huh?
