"Yeah, magic's exactly it," Aron responded, stepping up to the door to push it open, "and if it's a demon we're after, then I think I might be of some help," the door opened and Aron was about to step through, when a tapestry floated away from the window, bathing the room in a dusty light, and highlighting a shadow near the end of the room.
A low snarl rumbled around the room, and Aron raised his arm, locking his elbow with his other hand, even as the room descended back into darkness, swallowing the beast-like shadow as it went.
"Now, Canto, that wouldn't happen to be our quarry, now would it?"
