No, I definitely was not aiming at Nicholas Sparks! "Perfect" romance can be good, but ... for this novel, I'm trying to get more of a realistic feeling.
Thanks for the feedback. It's a bit rambling, so I'll proofread it and take some of the unnecessary sentences away, I know there are quite a few of them!
