this site says Dionne is pronouced dee-AHN and the AH sounds like it "pot" and "con". The AHH I mean sounds more like the AH in "arm" or the beginning of Ariana (ah-ree-AH-na).

Ok to me those sounds are all identical.
okay. so. I read most of this thread out loud because I am procrastinating and to illustrate the complete baffled-ness that goes through my mind during most of these pronunciation discussions.
