Neither my first name nor my middle name are common. Instead of Kirsten Rae I continually get:
Kristen/ Kristin
Kiersten
Kristine/ Christine
Kristina/ Cristina/ Christina
Christian
Katherine/ Catherine
Carson
and on the rare occasion people do realize it is Kirsten, they inevitably mispronounce it.
Ray/ Raye
Rain/ Raine
Rachel
A person should have a common and pronounceable name that they can use to order a pizza in their own name. (This is like my goal in life)
But I grew up in the Ashley/ Amanda/ Sarah generation. I know three women named Sarah Elizabeth from my graduating class of 300 students. They were fighting over nicknames to differentiate themselves.This message was edited by the author on March 1, 2012 at 4:07:14 PM
