I've known two. One was a young woman who was in her late teens and early twenties when I knew her, must be in her late twenties now. She was a somewhat odd young woman, very thin, androgynous-looking, had an odd way of ducking her head and mumbling while she talked, so that it was hard to listen to her.

The other is my great-niece, one of the twin daughters of my niece. I don't remember exactly when she was born, that's terrible! I've never actually met the twins. I know that they were born in the spring of either 2008 or 2009, so that Charlotte is either three or four now.

My choice is Katharine, though I'd prefer the Katherine spelling. I've never liked Charlotte, I think it is so frumpy sounding. Never cared for Alison, either, its sound just does not appeal to me. Maeve is okay, but Katharine is better, and Madeleine is....somewhat appealing, but not as appealing as Katharine. As long as it's Katharine and not shortened to Kathy or Katie.

I don't like the name of my other twin great-niece, either, which is Aubrie.
