Primrose- Light pink roses in a crystal vase. Lace doily on a table top.
Meadow- Well, I think of a meadow.
Spring green everywhere, with white and yellow dots for flowers.
Madeline- Deep blue, with a burst of goldenrod. It's like a firework.
Amandine-
Silver, like a fish. I see almonds, too.
Annabel- I see bell-shaped flowers in yellow and pink.
Hayley-
Spring green. Youthful. I see a little girl with blonde pigtails.
Dolores, NN
Dolly- Well,
Dolores and
Dolly give me two completely different images. I see grays and black in
Dolores; it strikes me as a somber sort of name, something a nun would have. I see bright yellow in
Dolly, thanks to
Dolly Parton and her hair.
Beverley- Orange. Good name for a redhead.
Maxine- Steel blue, with silver. It's a powerful name.
Mabel- Periwinkle. Makes me think of oatmeal cookies, fresh from the oven.
Aaron- Gold. The Aarons I have known have had strong personalities.
Harvey- Green and purple. Mysterious, yet playful.
Cato- Pink. Not a very masculine name, IMHO.
Cyan- Pepper-red. Lost, confused, undefinable.
Sawyer- Medium-blue, with a straw hat on top. Makes me think of
Mark Twain.
Shore- Soft grays and blues, like the beach.
Gray- Well, this one explains itself. Also, it conjures up the image of a lighthouse.
Dale- Deep brown, like chocolate.
Holden-
Olive green. Strong, but he doesn't know it.
Luke- Bright blue. Heroic. Impulsive, but he learns to tame it later in life.
