I also hate Aubrey. The sound of the first syllable always makes me feel a little sick to my stomach, literally. I knew a young woman named Aubrey, and, while she and I were just acquaintances, we had a good mutual friend. The mutual friend often talked to me about Aubrey so I had to hear the name spoken a good deal, so I was having frequent little sick stomach spells. Really! It may sound ridiculous but really. I hate Audrey for the same reason.

Now I have a great-niece named Aubrie, but I don't see my niece (her mother) frequently, and in fact, have never even seen Aubrie in person, so I don't have to hear the name spoken very much.

I hate Brandon so much because I think it's one of those names that just tries to club you over the head with its rugged handsome masculinity. Tries way way too hard.
