Rowan sorta feels like cheating to me, given that it's also a nature word name as well as a boys name, and I think nature/word names are fair game for either gender.

When I was a teenager I used to have a thing for Ethyn (aka Ethan) on a girl. I thought it was spunky! If I had to choose a boys name for my daughter, I'd probably go with Ethan.
