I've never been a big fan of Margot. Meg is the only nickname for Margaret that I like, so if I wanted a Meg, I'd rather it be a nickname for Margaret than Margot. But I don't even like Margaret enough to do that. I like Meg much more than Margaret, but I can't see using a name I don't really like just to get to the nickname.
