I like Alexis, like you said it has a really nice sound. I've never met anyone called Alexis, but I do know it's common on little girls now.
My order for the three Alex names you have is
Alexis
Alexa
Alexandria - I really don't like this name.
My favourite Alex name is Alexia. It sounds lovely, is not very common and it just has a really nice musical quality to it. I like Alessia too.
I know heaps of people with Alex names, though no Alexises or Alexandrias. I can't really give you a number, but it would be at least eight I think. They're all called Alexandra or Alexander, except for one, a girl who is just called Alex. One of the Alexandras goes by Alexa and most of the Alexanders are just Alex. One Alexandra goes by Zan (or maybe Xan). I know more girls than boys with Alex names.
