My mother's name is Nancy. At least that's what everyone calls her. Her real name is Anna, but she's always gone by the nn Nancy.
I like its retro vibe and I'd be very happy to see others use it for their children. It's also my sister-in-law's name (also as a nn for Ann!). So if we had had children it would have been a strong contender, at least as a mn.
What would I re-name my mother? Hmmm. Jean and Marjorie came to mind.
