My mother comes from a pretty Catholic upbringing, so she is named after her Godfather (Martin) and every firstborn woman in her female line has had Maria somewhere in there until me (thank you!).
I love my mom, but I would use neither. Maria is teh consumate filler name where I'm from (imo) and Martina... meh. She goes by Tina, but still I don't hate it, but I don't love it either.
If I had to rename my mom.... Jee..
