Personally, no, I wouldn't use either name for a child which is a great shame. It does make me sad as I'd love to honour my mum, I just can't really get excited about the name Sarah (and trust me I've tried hard) and I don't like that Jayne has a 'Y' in it, it just seems unnecessary.

If I could rename my mum I'd probably keep her initials S.J. and name her something like Seren. It has that first initial, it sounds similar to Sarah and it reflects her Welsh nationality. I'd keep Jayne but drop the 'Y' to Jane...or perhaps swap it for June. Seren June
