I'm sorry you lost your Mom. I can see wanting to keep it in tact.
Freda is a family name for me and I've always loved it. It reminds me of the word "freedom" and has the cute option of the nn Edie. And I've always thought Jean was overlooked. I love the sound of it, and it's straightforward nature.
I hope you get a chance to use Freda Jean one day. :-D
