Angela. A favorite.
I also like
Angelique, but that's probably because I used to know one. She went by
Angie most of the time.
Angeli- names seem overwrought for my taste.
Angel is masculine-ish to me.
Alexandra, nn
Alex.
It's classic.
Alex is a good nn for a girl, but as a full name I think it's a little sloppy.
Alexa seems sort of slick for my taste, but it's ok.
Alexandria is okay, too, but all those syllables make it a tiny bit self-important.
Lindsay.
I dunno - I just don't like the others at all, and
Lindsay is alright.
Ashley sounds nice too, but I'm not really into the SHL sound in the middle; the Lind sound is prettier. 3rd choice,
Sydney - I know one.
Hadley sounds downbeat and gawky to me and I don't care for the consonants NSL together in Ansley/Ainsley
Rain.
Sweet and simple. It never seemed downbeat to me. You can sing in the rain and it makes flowers grow and stuff.
Primrose is almost intolerable sounding to me, and I can't decide if
Willow is wiggly or mournful, but I don't like the sound or image much.
Meadow.
Autumn sounds clunky oddum in my accent,
Valentine is masculine to my senses,
Meadow is self-consciously rustic - too much for me - but I think it's not ugly, so it wins.
