I don't think it sounds cutesy at all but to each their own. Breanna could be seen as a spelling variant of Briana which would make the spelling tryndee but not the name. I think it matters a great deal when it was invented. It has a long history and lovely literary connection.

Seriously if you don't like the names don't use them. If my name was Breanna and someone used Anna I don't think I'd feel honored, it's just a completely different name. But if you still consider that honoring how about asking Breeanna and Paige to make a list with ten names they like and pick one of those as a middle name? Only if they have good taste, of course.
