Ugh, I cannot STAND

Eleanor (yuck, sorry, frumpy and too popular now),
Abel,
Alfred,
Albert,
Maud /
Maude (SO gross, I don't get it),
Ellen,
Edith, and
Charles.
I love a lot of names that it seems like everyone hates here. There seems to be a Hebrew name dislike on the board outside of names like
Zipporah,
Miriam, and the like.
Chaya is one of my favorite names of all time, but I don't remember a lot of people liking it here.
Keturah is another one I like, but I think guru is the only other person on this board that likes it. You've got stuff like
Livna,
Shulamit,
Yarden,
Malka, etc. that everyone just loathes, apparently. :(
Other names I love that others don't:
Kylie,
Twila,
Akiva (boy),
Gretchen, Tenley (after Tenley Albright),
Stephanie,
Nicole,
Brittany (I think it's safe to say I'm the only person here that likes
Brittany),

Jennifer,
Jenna,
Ingrid (I ADORE
Ingrid and don't get why no one else does!),

Roxanne,
Joel,
Jesse (boy), and a whole pile of Russian names that get sh*t reviews,
Olga leading the pack.
FWIW, I'm not a fan of
Alma either. I don't understand its appeal at all. It's blah and boring on top of being dated and frumpy. I can't side with you on
Charlotte, though.
Love that name.
