Sometimes I feel like I have two name-nerd personalities. The first likes pretty, slightly old-fashioned, slightly romantic, more "normal" (for America/UK) names. The second likes pretty, very old-fashioned, very romantic, unusual names. Honestly, I think I'm actually going to have to become pregnant to figure out if I'll be able to use them. So, I've grouped my potential children's sibsets into two parts: Names My Mother Will Endorse And That I Will Always Be Brave Enough To Use, and Other.

Joseph would be for the bajillion José's and Joseph's in my family, and Alice would be after my "godsister" (godfather's daughter and my best friend), Ailis. I haven't decided whether I like Theo or Ted better as a nickname.
