I think it's pretty cool. A really unusual first name often sounds good with a simple middle name (not necessarily common, but simple). Aquinnah Fay and Aquinnah Eve, for example, make a better combo than Aquinnah Adrasteia. Patrick Achilles and Emily Theodora make better combos than Patrick James and Emily Anne.
But it has not that much to do with common/uncommon, more with unique/simple. Even though I wouldn't combine two super common names.
Alice Zenobia is a celeb baby.
