HAY-lee: Haley
KAY-lee: Kaylee
CAR-lee: Carly
KATE-linn: Caitlin
KAY-linn: Idk about preferred spelling. Kalin?
AL-i-sen: Allison
JAY-den: Jaden for a boy & Jaiden for a girl
KAY-den: Caden
HAY-den: Hayden
AY-den: Aidan
KATH-rinn: Katherine
bree-ANN-a: Brianna
ZO-ee: Zoe
Mak-AY-la: Michaela
MAD-eh-linn: Madelyn, I suppose. I prefer Madeline (mad-ah-line)
As for variant spellings, I can tolerate:
Hayley, Katelyn(n), Alyson, Catherine, and Zoey.
I tend to strongly dislike any other spellings.
Those I know with the names:
I've known one Haley - we went to high school together and she was two grades ahead of me. I also knew a girl who went by Hali (prn. the same). It was one of her MNs.
I've known several Kaylees - all under 5. One sibset was David (9), Eaven (pr. Evan, 4) and Kaylee (3).
I've known one Carly. She is a year older than me. She has a younger brother named Connor.
I had so many Cailins in my high school class it was crazy. Most of them were Caitlin "Cate/Kate/Catie/Katie". One of my sisters has the MN Katelyn.
I've known one Kalin, spelled Kaylin. She is probably about 25 now. She has a sister my age named Taylor and an even younger brother named William "Billy". Their dad is William "Bill".
I've known several Allisons and one Alyson, ages 18-25ish. My SO's sister's name is Allison "Ally". She is 18.
I knew a lot of Jayden/Jaidens when I worked in daycare. One 4 year old Jaiden had a way older sister (about 16 or 17) named Caitlin.
I met one Caden when I worked in daycare. He is 4.
I met one Hayden when I was in daycare. He was 6. Sibset - Jody (m, 7), Hayden (6), Ryleigh (f, 3) and DJ (1).
I have a 5 year old cousin named Aaden. He has a 16 year old brother named Troy. I've also known several Aidens, one Ayden, and one Aidan, all about 3 or 4.
I knew a ton of Mary Catherines in high school, and all of them went by Cate or Catie. I don't know anyone with just the FN Katherine/Catherine/Kathryn.
I've known several Briannas. Two are my age. One is about 2 and she is one of six kids. Siblings are Vincent "Vince", Victor, Emily, Brendin, and another I never met (in age order, all under 10).
I have a 5 year old cousin named Madelyn. Her dad is Thad (and his siblings are Meghan and Currie). I worked with a bunch of kids at the daycare named Madalyn and even one Maddalynn. All 2 or younger.
