I think those are great honoring choices! Knowing why you like those names makes it 10 times better! funny how that is. Bowen isn't a terribly weird name because it is similar to Owen, and so many names like Brady and Brody and Bodhi are out there now that he wouldn't be made fun of or anything. And the combo flows well, too.
So I take it back! go for it!
