it does, but just quickly. i don't think of it as a "fishy" name. i agree that Finlay on girls is a sad thing. and i also think that it's best on it's own, rather than the longer names. Finnegan, Finbar, Finlay, etc. are all a bit much.

I also like Finn better than Flynn, although the latter isn't bad, it sound more like a last name still to me.
