No special reason. I like them all. I even like Season.

Are any of these too popular?
"Too popular" is in the eye of the beholder; none of them seem too popular to me.

How many people have you met with each name?
I've know a couple Autumns (under 10), a few Summers (20s-30s), and I once met a Spring, who must be in her 50s by now. I've never met a Winter.

Have you seen any alternate spellings and do you like them?
I've seen Wynter and Sommer/Somer, but I don't like them.

Why do you think is Autumn in the top 100 and Summer and Winter aren't?
I don't know if there's a real reason. As far as seasons go, summer and winter can both be brutal, while autumn tends to be more pleasant, so maybe that has something to do with it. The same could be said of spring, of course, but autumn has the advantage of not having alternate meanings that make people think of metal springs or waterways. I've also sometimes wondered if the -er endings of Summer and Winter holds them back at all. There are so many surnames that share the same ending, and together they flow like mud over rocks. On the other hand, it hasn't hurt Tyler, Harper, or Cooper, so there's probably nothing to the idea.
