I prefer the way Pearl sounds, but Opal would be less expected and, therefore, more interesting. I'd love to meet a little girl named Opal. I'd also be thrilled to be a little girl named Pearl. I don't see any problems with either name.

Some other names that popped into mind are Beryl, another gemstone name, Gladys, and Celeste.

Combos:

Opal Cassandra
Opal Georgia
Opal Georgina
Opal Celeste
Opal Celestine
Opal Rhiannon
Opal Thomasina
Opal Genevieve

Pearl Sophia
Pearl Sophronia
Pearl Cassandra
Pearl Thomasina
Pearl Genevieve
Pearl Gwendolyn / Gwendolen
Pearl Guinevere
Pearl Victoria
Pearl Viviana
Pearl Euphemia
Pearl Eugenia
